Snow Removal Guide

Description of Service

This is a short guide to describe the snow removal service I offer. For quick reference, see the FAQ.

Snow removal

The snow removal service is available for driveways, sidewalks and walkways, and small parking lots. Equipment used depends on the situation and may include a plow, snow blower, and/or shovel.

You are agreeing to let Crown Lawn Care provide the snow removal service for all accumulating snow. I do not offer an option to receive the service only if snow accumulation exceeds a certain threshold (e.g., “3 or more inches”).

A “visit” is described as follows: After snow accumulates, Crown Lawn Care arrives at the property and performs the snow removal service. If the corresponding snowfall was at least one-half inch, your monthly invoice will include one charge for that visit. If snowfall was less than one-half inch, the visit is complimentary (no charge).

Pricing

You can choose from one of two pricing options.

  1. Pay per visit (default option)

If you choose to pay per visit, the total that you will owe at the end of each month will depend on the number of visits, which is unpredictable. Most snowfall events require one visit. The number of visits will depend on the situation. The primary factors include:

    • the duration of the snowfall. If snow continues to fall over the course of multiple days, you can expect that I will show up on each day the snow is still falling. Light snows require one visit per day. Heavier snowfall may require multiple visits in a single day.
    • the intensity of the snowfall. Most days during which we experience snow, it's only a couple of inches or fewer. Occasionally, we get heavier snows. When that happens, it becomes necessary to plow multiple times (about 2 to 3 inches at a time). In that case, you will be charged for additional visits, as necessary.
  2. Fixed payments

I can offer one flat price for the entire season so that you can confidently budget for the service. Payments can be split across five months (December-April). Don't wait to see what the weather does; the fixed payment pricing option expires 14 days after the price is offered.

Timing of the service

Most snow removal happens in the early morning. Of course, the time of service will depend on the actual timing of the snowfall. For example, if the snow accumulates during the morning hours, then snow removal will occur during the daytime.

For heavier snowfalls, more time is necessary to service each property; this problem is mitigated by limiting the number of customers on my route.

Isolated snowfall can happen, which I cannot observe. If you think your snow removal service is not being completed in a timely fashion, contact Crown Lawn Care.

Ice management

This is not an ice management service. You are encouraged to apply salt or sand as needed. Delivery and refilling of buckets of salt may be available for a nominal fee.

Plowed-in

When enough snow accumulates and the street plow goes by, then I anticipate that you may get plowed in. In this case, an additional visit - to plow the snow pile at the end of your driveway - is included at no additional cost. If your street hasn't been plowed at the time of service and it looks like you may get plowed in later, I'll come back after a period of time to plow out the end of your driveway. I can't anticipate the street plow's timing exactly, so contact me if you're plowed in and need to get out.

Cancellation

Of course, you can choose to stop receiving services by notifying Crown Lawn Care.

Crown Lawn Care also reserves the right to cancel services.

Please note: My resources are on reserve all season for the purpose of completing snow removal services, so please allow me to complete the service. Call if you have an urgent need: 608-440-8896.
